在自然科学研究中，理论应该是精准的、一致的，并且具有广大的应用范围，能够解释现象之间的关系；在社会科学研究中，一个好的理论通常与预感有紧密的关系。传统的理论如使用与满足或许阐明了一些重要的问题，但是也有一些我们忽视的因素，但或许AI能够帮助我们探索这些新的领域。
AI作为信息时代理解社会互动的新工具，它的重要性体现在两个方面：一是解释机制，二是结果预测。但是需要大量的数据展开训练才能更精准，因为目前的会存在偏见数据，比如种族、宗教、文化偏见等等，只有多元数据才能保证预测的相对精准。作为研究者，应该尽最大可能去寻找透明性，并逐步确定透明性的标准。但是也需要警惕，不是所有的问题都可以用机器学习考察的。
因此，在当下的时代，对理论保持谦逊的同时，需要在问题解释时保持开放和创新的态度。
