二、形容词作用
① 形容词用来修饰something, anything, nothing, everything等不定代词，要放在这些词的后面 。
例如：I want to tell you_____________ ____________. (有趣的事情)
There is ___________ __________(没有什么新东西) in today’s newspaper.
② 形容词名词化：有些形容词前加定冠词后变成名词，表示一类人，谓语常用复数 。这类词有：rich / poor; good / bad ; young / old ; healthy / ill ; living / dead ; black / white (表示人种等) 。
例如：穷人_____________ 富人______________ 黑人_____________
白人____________ 年轻人应该照顾老年人______________________________________.
三、比较级用法
① 无than无or
<1> 本身与本身比 eg. I am short. I want to be ____________ (tall).
<2> “越来越…”
单音节: 比较级+ and +比较级 eg. 越来越胖_________________________
多音节: more and more+形容词 eg. 越来越难_________________________
<3>系动词与比较级 eg. It’s getting ___________and ___________. (cold)
<4> “越…,就越…”
the+比较级，the+比较级 eg. 越多越好______________________________
② 修饰比较级的词
much, a little, a lot, far, even, still
eg.今天比昨天冷得多 。It is ________ _________ today ________ yesterday.
③ 为避免重复，在从句中常用the one代替可数名词单数形式，用ones 或those代替可数名词的复数形式，that代替不可数名词
Eg. <1> The weather in Tianjin is colder than _________of Guangzhou in winter.<2> The door of this room is bigger than __________ of that room.
<3> Books on his table are heavier than ___________ on my table.
四、最高级用法
① 最……的……之一
句子结构：one of the +形容词最高级+复数名词
Eg. The Yellow River is ________________________________ in China.
黄河是中国最长的河流之一 。
② 不加the的情况
最高级前有物主代词、指示代词、名词所有格等修饰时，不再加the
Eg. This is my _________friend. 这是我最好的朋友 。
③ 第几大/长/…的…
结构：the + 序数词 + 最高级 + 名词
Eg. 第二长河 _________________________
第三大城市 _________________________
