其实关于 research proposal ， 最难的部分不是怎么去写 ， 而是怎样去孵化一个好的 topic 。 单单一个“好”字 ， 你就需要经历99.99%九九八十一难里 。
首先 ， 大量的文献阅读观察讨论是必要且充分条件 。 不阅读不观察 ， 你怎么知道研究领域最前沿的发展动态？你怎么知道自己的idea没有被别人嚼得碎成渣渣？你怎么知道自己研究的topic有没有价值？
不要说英国已经脱欧了 ， 你还旁征博引地论“英国与欧洲一体化进程及意义” 。 朋友 ， 你这是反社会进程 ， 并且毫无意义啊 。

退一步讲 ， 当你脑子里一团浆糊的时候 ， 也许读着看着idea就来了 ， topic就定了 。
这跟台上一分钟 ， 台下十年功的道理是一样的 。 为了确定一个好的topic ， 你要付出的心血也是一言难尽 。
十年的功夫是下到了 ， 但是上台没有发挥好这事儿 ， 就算肠子都悔青了 ， 大概也不能重来 。 所以 ， 你写出来的 research proposal 要对得你选研究课题时所付出的千辛万苦 ， 要一上台一开口让导师感到惊艳 。

接下来 ， 我们就挨个地聊一下每个部分究竟该怎么写 。
▲ Introduction
在 Topic area这个部分一定要陈述清楚自己的研究计划究竟是哪个领域的 。 这样导师才能听出你走的是欧美流行抒情还是摇滚 ， 是不是和自己相关 ， 然后决定要不要你 。
Research question 要一针见血地写出你研究的课题以及研究方法 。
Significance 这里就要对你的研究课题之于现有知识体系的重要性 ， 之于我们认识世界乃至改造世界的重要性等一系列的重要性大书特书了 。
这里站得稍稍高了些 ， 举个例子 ， 比如你要研究的某些化学分子对新材料的研发具有实践性的指导意义 。
▲ Literature review
开门见山地讲 ， Literature review的目的 ， 就是要把你的研究课题放置在相关研究的大背景下 。
你可以从研究大背景出发 ， 由面到点聚焦到自己研究课题上 ， 也可以由远及近依历史发展这条时间线 。 切勿知无不言言无不尽越跑越偏 ， 一颗红心向着研究课题啊喂 。

简单点儿讲 ， Methodology这块儿要具体到课题所要用到的资研究料 ， 以及用什么样的研究工具来分析研究资料 ， 最后怎样用预期的结果去尝试着解答研究课题 。
▲ Expected Results
虽然Expected Results 是放在了research proposal 的最后 ， 但是建议开始就把这块儿搞定 。 这样其它部分的论述或论证都会绕着它走 ， 不会跑太远 。
▲ Bibliography(or References)
? 如果你在文章中引用或参考了别人的数据、方法、结论等 ， 必须在参考文献中进行标注 。 （这叫尊重别人的劳动成果知识产权 ， 不然就是抄袭啊）
? 同时要注意一下参考文献的权威性和时效性 。 （未被知名期刊录用的文章参考价值有限 ， 就像从你说的话和名人说的话分量是不一样的 。 还有某些领域发展甚快 ， 要确定自己参考的理论没有被推翻 。 ）
? 友情提醒一下 ， 引文格式这个细节问题了 。 引文格式要严格按照具体要求来 ， 没有标准的随便Google一下 ， 随便挑一种就能行得通 。
