7月28日凌晨，一辆渣土车在化工路上发生事故，司机受伤被卡驾驶室之内，郑州市消防救援支队迅速调派力量赶赴现场展开救援。
凌晨4时46分，雪松路消防救援站接到郑州（郑州新闻网）市119指挥中心调度，位于高新区化工路与瑞达路交叉口向西1公里发生车祸，一名男性驾驶员受伤被困车内，该站接到命令后迅速出动2车10人赶赴现场进行救援。
凌晨5时，消防救援人员到达现场，此时司机被困在渣土车驾驶位置，上半身前倾趴伏在车头上，双腿则被卡在车头缝隙之中，身体多处出血不住向医护人员呼喊“救救我” 。
雪松路消防救援站带队指挥员查看现场情况后，立即组织救援人员展开营救，消防人员利用破拆工具组对车身进行破拆，同时对车头破碎的玻璃进行清理，经过约15分钟的施救，将司机从被卡部位破拆分离出来。
随后，消防救援人员协助现场120急救人员将伤者抬上救护车，送医做进一步的救治，现场则移交给交警部门进行调查处理。
